Elio just released pictures of their new prototype. The design is definitely an improvement over the previous iteration and it is starting to grow on me.

Looks much less like a woman's high heeled shoe with wheels. This is good.
But, Elio, Y U No Manuel Transmicion?!

I hear Senor Manuel will be available as well...

I think this is up at Park City right now.

The steering wheel looks like the one on the pre-'11 Camaros. If that's the case, whoever put the prototype together must have Lego hands, or like uncomfortable steering wheels.

They are trying to use as many off the shelf GM components as possible to keep costs down, but that is an odd choice...

To be exact, that's a 5th gen camaro steering wheel. Possibly 2008 before the tweaks

If it has a manual, I'd rock one

They need to follow the Aptera rear design.

The side body line, and window shape remined me of a 08-11 Ford Focus 2 door.

problem is that car cost way too much for a reason.

Yeah, I would have at least gone with the 2012+ wheel...or any other wheel, I mean the Cruze's would be better.

If they keep making prototypes, eventually they'll have enough to sell.

What motor? I thought I read or saw it was a G10 metro motor, the 5speed linkage is right in the middle of that car, so maybe it doesn't fit with the Elio

Their prototypes are running that unit, but the production model will have something different. They have yet to release any info on that though...

Yes, last night was at in-laws. I actually googled it this morning and they had said something to that effect when they brought the car to St Louis on some kind of tour in a YouTube video.
I would consider one if I didn't have a bunch of tools to haul around.
